Type of Accreditation Sought

Please select the type of accreditation you are applying for. This determines both the scope of the review and, if successful, the way in which accreditation may be described publicly during the period of accreditation.

Provider Accreditation

Choose this option if you want your organisation's overall training provision to be reviewed. This includes your training systems, governance, quality assurance arrangements, delivery standards, and assessment approach. If successful, you may state that your organisation's training provision is accredited by The British Academy of Professional Development, using approved wording, and may refer to this accreditation on your website, social media, and stationery during the period of accreditation. This option is appropriate for organisations seeking recognition at provider level. It does not mean that individual courses or programmes have been separately reviewed or accredited, and it does not permit individual courses or programmes to be advertised as accredited unless they have been separately assessed and approved.

Programme Accreditation

Choose this option if you want a specific course or programme to be reviewed. This includes the design, structure, learning outcomes, delivery methodology, assessment, and practical application of that named programme. If successful, you may state that the specific programme named in the accreditation decision is accredited by The British Academy of Professional Development, using approved wording, and may refer to this accreditation on your website, social media, relevant programme materials, and certificates issued in relation to that accredited programme during the period of accreditation. This option is appropriate for organisations seeking recognition for a particular course or programme rather than for their overall training provision. It does not mean that the organisation as a whole is accredited.

Both Provider and Programme Accreditation

Choose this option if you want both your organisation's overall training provision and one or more specific programmes to be reviewed. If successful, you may state that your organisation's training provision is accredited and that the named programme or programmes are accredited, using approved wording, and may refer to this accreditation on your website, social media, stationery, relevant programme materials, and certificates issued in relation to the accredited programme or programmes during the period of accreditation. This option is appropriate for organisations seeking recognition both at provider level and for specific programmes. Provider and programme accreditation are considered separately within the same application and must not be described more broadly than the accreditation decision allows.
